Rising Human-Wildlife Conflict Claims More Lion Lives in Kenya

Ten lions, including one of Africa's oldest, have been killed in southern Kenya due to human-wildlife conflict, with six lions killed on Saturday alone. The end of a drought has led to an increase in conflict as wild prey becomes harder to hunt and livestock owners become more vigilant. The Kenya Wildlife Service is exploring ways to minimize the risk of conflict and promote harmonious coexistence between communities and wildlife.
