Federal Inspector General Suspended for Misconduct Allegations.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has voted to suspend its inspector general, A. Roy Lavik, after an oversight body found that he engaged in "substantial misconduct," including wasting government funds, outing whistleblowers, and disparaging employees. Lavik has been placed on "non-duty status" while the CFTC considers further action. The agency has informed leaders of several congressional committees of the move.
