Life expectancy in the US has dropped for the second year in a row, with Americans dying at younger ages than their counterparts in other wealthy nations. A landmark study ten years ago found that living in America is worse for your health and makes you more likely to die younger than if you lived in another rich country. The study found problems in every category they looked at, including the public health and medical care system, individual behaviors, social factors, the physical environment, and public policies and values. Despite the report's recommendations, little action has been taken to address the issue.
