Love and Survival: Newlywed Soldiers on Ukraine's Frontline

Two Ukrainian soldiers, Maksym Merezhko and Yuliia Dluzhynska, who met before the invasion and enlisted in the Ukrainian army to stay together, got married in a private ceremony arranged and donated by a charity that supports female soldiers. After a short honeymoon, they will return to fight in Donetsk. Despite the ongoing war, Ukrainian soldiers continue to organize small wedding ceremonies to celebrate their joy and maintain a sense of normalcy amidst the conflict.
