Resilience and Determination: Stories of Survival from Ukraine's War-Torn Cities.

Ihor Dudnik, a 58-year-old builder, returned to his home in Kharkiv's Saltivka district, Ukraine, after his wife died of heart failure in December, to repair the damage caused by Russian attacks during the war. His building has no water or electricity, burnt wiring, and gaping holes. Despite the enormity of the task, Dudnik fixes something in the building every day, giving hope to his neighbors that the neighborhood will come back to life. His neighbors call him a superhero, and they have donated tools and supplies to help him work.
