Surviving 40 Days in the Amazon: The Incredible Story of Four Children.

Four children from the Huitoto people survived for 40 days in the Amazon jungle after a plane they were travelling in crashed. They survived on cassava flour and fruits, and were found by a military sniffer dog. The children were dehydrated and had insect bites, but were otherwise fine. The eldest child, a girl, had some knowledge of how to survive in the rainforest and led the children through the ordeal. The children were members of the Huitoto people, aged 13, nine and four plus an 11-month-old baby.
