Mariupol Teen Taken to Russia to Return Home, Ukrainian Officials Confirm

A Ukrainian teenager, Bohdan Ermokhin, who was taken from occupied Mariupol to Russia and then summoned to a military enlistment office, will be returning to Ukraine, according to Ukraine's human rights ombudsman. Ermokhin, who now holds Russian citizenship, had received an order to appear at the enlistment office after turning 18. The teenager's sister, who became his guardian after their parents' death, requested Ukrainian President Zelensky's help in his return. Russia claims to have received over 700,000 Ukrainian children since its invasion, but the International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for President Putin and his human rights commissioner for the illegal deportations of Ukrainian children.
