Spain and Morocco criticized for lack of justice in Melilla tragedy.

Rights groups have criticized the lack of justice and transparency over the deaths of at least 37 migrants during a mass attempt to cross the border from Morocco into the Spanish enclave city of Melilla last year. Amnesty International and the Spanish Commission for Refugees have demanded an independent investigation into the tragedy, which occurred on the eve of its first anniversary. The Spanish and Moroccan authorities have been accused of preventing attempts to find the truth, and failing to provide a full list of victims’ names or any footage of the tragedy.
