UN Inquiry Finds Possible Russian Crimes Against Humanity in Ukraine

A UN-mandated investigative body has found that Russia has committed war crimes in Ukraine, including wilful killings and torture, some of which may amount to crimes against humanity. The report detailed alleged crimes such as the deportation of children, forcing children to watch loved ones being raped, and detaining others alongside dead bodies. The report also found that Ukraine forces had committed a "small number of violations" including what appeared to be indiscriminate attacks and torture of prisoners of war. The report will be presented to the Geneva Human Rights Council on Monday.
