"UN Chief: Aid Convoy in Gaza a Matter of Life and Death"

UN Secretary-General António Guterres visited the Rafah crossing between Egypt and Gaza, emphasizing the dire situation faced by the two million people trapped in Gaza without sufficient supplies. He called for the aid convoy carrying lifesaving supplies to be allowed to cross the border, stating that it is the difference between life and death for many people. The UN is actively engaging with all parties to facilitate cross-border aid deliveries. Guterres also appealed for a humanitarian ceasefire and expressed hope for peace between Palestinians and Israelis. The death toll in Gaza has reached 3,785, including 1,524 children, while 79 Palestinians have been killed in the occupied West Bank.
