BYU Jerusalem Center moves students and faculty to Greece amid tensions

Brigham Young University (BYU) is evacuating its Jerusalem Center in East Jerusalem due to the recent violence in Israel. Around 93 students, faculty members, and their families are being relocated to Greece. The center, owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serves as BYU's base for study in the Holy Land. The Biden administration is chartering flights to Europe for Americans to make their way home. BYU has reported no violence at or near the center, but the decision to evacuate follows the general evacuation of Americans from Israel.
