Canadian-Israeli Peace Activist Vivian Silver Confirmed Dead in Hamas Massacre

Vivian Silver, a Canadian-Israeli peace activist, has been declared dead after her remains were found at her home following the Hamas massacre in Kibbutz Be'eri. Silver, known for her lifelong dedication to peace and justice, was among the more than 1,200 people murdered by Hamas in the attack. She is one of several peace activists targeted by Hamas on October 7, including Hayim Katsman who was killed and Yocheved Lifschitz who was taken captive. Silver's sons had campaigned for her release, emphasizing her commitment to peace. She was the longtime director of the Arab Jewish Center For Empowerment, Equality, and Cooperation and helped found Women Wage Peace.
