"Cardinal and Pope Condemn IDF Sniper's Killing of Women in Gaza Church"
TL;DR
Cardinal Vincent Nichols, the archbishop of Westminster, has condemned the shooting of a mother and daughter allegedly by an Israeli military sniper in a church compound in Gaza City as a "cold-blooded killing." The two women were killed inside the Holy Family parish, where many of Gaza's Christian families have sought refuge since the start of the war. The shooting has sparked criticism from various figures, including the Italian foreign minister and Pope Francis, who suggested that Israel was using "terrorism" tactics in Gaza. Israeli authorities have stated that an investigation is underway and have questioned the accuracy of reports coming out of Gaza.
