Challenges and Resilience: A Mother's Struggle to Find Safety in Gaza

Evacuations from the Gaza Strip into Egypt through the Rafah crossing have resumed after being temporarily suspended due to bombardments on the route. On Thursday, 695 foreign passport holders and dependents, along with 12 medical evacuees and 10 companions, were able to cross. The resumption of evacuations comes as the United States announced that Israel has agreed to four-hour humanitarian pauses, which are expected to facilitate the process. Rafah is also the only entry point for humanitarian aid going into Gaza, with 100 trucks entering on Thursday. However, aid officials have highlighted the need for at least 150 truckloads daily to meet the growing humanitarian needs in the region.
