"France Deploys Helicopter Carrier to Aid Gaza's Hospitals Amid Israel-Palestine Conflict"
TL;DR
The French assault vessel Tonnerre is being sent to the eastern Mediterranean to provide support to hospitals in Gaza, which are struggling to handle the influx of victims from Israeli air strikes. President Emmanuel Macron stated that the helicopter carrier will help ensure access to medicines and care for Gazans. The exact nature of the humanitarian support is yet to be determined, but the Tonnerre is equipped with medical facilities and can serve as a floating hospital. This deployment coincides with EU leaders calling for humanitarian corridors and pauses in bombardments to facilitate aid access.
