Hostage Thai Workers in Gaza Share Kidnapping Ordeal

Dozens of migrant workers from Thailand, the Philippines, Tanzania, and Nepal were among the 240 hostages held by Hamas during the recent conflict in Gaza. After being released in a separate hostage deal, some of the Thai workers shared their harrowing experiences of captivity and their gratitude for being reunited with their families. The Thai workers were targeted by Hamas militants, and their stories shed light on the vulnerability and often invisible nature of migrant workers in Israel. The war has triggered an exodus of more than 15,000 migrant workers, who are now being replaced by new waves of workers from Malawi and Sri Lanka.
