"Russia's Unrecognized Annexations: A Photo Celebration"

Russian authorities celebrated the one-year anniversary of the disputed annexation of four regions of Ukraine, including Donetsk and Luhansk, with events and concerts held in Russia, annexed Crimea, and occupied regions of Ukraine. President Vladimir Putin signed a decree establishing Reunification Day as a new holiday to be celebrated annually on September 30. Despite Moscow's claims, Russian forces do not have full control over the regions they annexed.
