Ukrainian Grain Exports Hindered by Russian Missile Strikes

Russian missile attacks have severely impacted Ukrainian farmers' ability to export grain, as strikes on agricultural facilities and the main port in Odesa have disrupted the Black Sea shipping route. The attacks destroyed grain stock and left shipping companies at a standstill, forcing farmers to rely on alternative routes through the Danube River, road, and rail. However, these routes have generated higher costs and stirred divisions among nearby European countries. The decrease in grain production, coupled with rising logistics costs, could make new planting unprofitable for Ukrainian farmers, leading to a diminished Ukraine in the global grain market.
