International concern grows as conflict in Sudan escalates.

The US and France have evacuated their citizens from Sudan amid the ongoing conflict between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces paramilitary. The US evacuated fewer than 100 people, while France has begun a "rapid evacuation operation" for its citizens and diplomatic personnel. The US Embassy in Khartoum has suspended operations due to the fighting, which has killed at least 413 people and injured over 3,500. Other countries, including the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, China, and the UK, are also evacuating their citizens.
