Ukraine's Air-Defense Missiles Target Russian Cities in Escalating Conflict

The Ukrainian air force has repurposed obsolete S-200 surface-to-air missile systems into surface-to-surface missiles by replacing their command-guidance units with GPS seekers. They have been firing these missiles at targets inside Russia, with the latest strike targeting the city of Taganrog. The use of homemade deep-strike weapons by Ukraine, without limitations imposed by allies, could lead to more indiscriminate retaliatory strikes on Russian cities as Ukraine improvises more long-range weapons.
