Ukrainian Defector Ilya Kiva Found Dead in Moscow, Sparking Controversy

Ilya Kiva, a former Ukrainian lawmaker who defected to Russia, has been found dead near Moscow with a "hole in his head, possibly from the use of a firearm." Ukrainian news outlets suggest he was killed as part of a special operation by the Security Service of Ukraine. Kiva had been a member of the pro-Russian Opposition Platform-For Life party before being expelled and seeking asylum in Russia. His death comes shortly after another Kremlin collaborator, Oleg Popov, was killed in a car bomb attack in Luhansk, eastern Ukraine.
