"ICC Issues Arrest Warrants for Russian Military Leaders Over Ukraine War Crimes"

Russia has dismissed arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court for two top Russian commanders, Sergei Kobylash and Viktor Sokolov, over alleged war crimes in Ukraine, stating that they do not recognize the court's jurisdiction. The warrants were issued in response to missile strikes on Ukrainian electric infrastructure allegedly carried out by forces under their command. Moscow has denied targeting civilian infrastructure in Ukraine despite evidence to the contrary. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky welcomed the move, emphasizing that those responsible for such crimes will be held accountable. This is the second time warrants have been issued for Russians over the war in Ukraine, with previous warrants issued for President Vladimir Putin and Russia's commissioner for children's rights.
