"Indian Navy Monitors Chinese Vessel En Route to Maldives"
TL;DR
The Indian Navy is closely monitoring the movement of the Chinese ocean research vessel XIANG YANG HONG 03, which is reportedly heading towards Male, the capital of the Maldives, amid concerns about China's increasing maritime presence in the Indian Ocean. This comes as the new Maldivian government seeks to strengthen ties with China, leading to deteriorating relations with India, with President Mohamed Muizzu calling for the withdrawal of Indian military personnel from the country.
