Iran seizes oil tanker bound for Texas.

Iran seized a Marshall Islands-flagged oil tanker, the Advantage Sweet, in the Gulf of Oman on Thursday. The vessel had just come from Kuwait and was headed for Houston, Texas. The US Navy's 5th Fleet called the seizure "contrary to international law" and called for the immediate release of the tanker. This is the latest in a series of incidents in the region, including tanker seizures, that have heightened tensions between Iran and the West.
