Israeli Ship Breaks Russia's Grain Blockade, Sets Sailing Record

A ship registered in Sierra Leone and sailing from Israel's port city of Ashdod has become the first to break through Russia's blockade of Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea since Russia pulled out of a grain deal. The ship, Ams1, openly declared its destination and crossed the Black Sea on a direct route, entering the Danube Delta despite Russia's threats. An American aircraft, P8 Poseidon, provided security to vessels on this route, refueling in Romania. Croatia and Ukraine also reached an agreement to export Ukrainian grain through Croatian ports on the Danube and the Adriatic Sea.
