Japanese Company Executive Arrested in China.

A senior Japanese company official was detained in Beijing earlier this month for an alleged violation of Chinese law. The Japanese government is seeking his release and providing consular support via the Japanese Embassy in Beijing. China has not provided a sufficient explanation for the detention.
