"Pentagon Hosts Meeting of 50 Allies on Support for Ukraine Amid Funding Shortage"

The Pentagon, for the first time since its establishment in April 2022, has run out of funds to provide Ukraine with ammunition and missiles to fend off Russia, as the U.S. awaits Congress to pass a budget and potentially approve more money for Ukraine's fight. A meeting of about 50 allies will focus on longer-term needs, with the U.S. looking to its partners to bridge the gap, while more than $110 billion in aid for both Ukraine and Israel is stalled over disagreements between Congress and the White House. Despite the lack of funds, previously purchased weapons will continue to flow in, and the U.S. and international partners are continuing to train Ukrainian forces.
