Poland defies NATO allies, sends fighter jets to Ukraine.

Poland has announced that it will provide Ukraine with around a dozen MiG-29 fighter jets, making it the first NATO member to fulfill Ukraine's request for warplanes. Four of the Soviet-made warplanes will be handed over in the next few days, with the rest to be supplied later. The move has been praised by the White House as a sovereign decision, but the US administration has reiterated that it will not provide Ukraine with F-16s. Poland has previously provided Ukraine with German-made Leopard 2 tanks and has taken in more Ukrainian refugees than any other nation.
