Qatar pledges $100 million in humanitarian aid to Kyiv

Qatar has pledged to provide Ukraine with $100 million in humanitarian aid to support health, education, and demining efforts. The announcement came after talks between Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, who also discussed global food security and the expired Black Sea grain deal. The funds will be used for reconstruction in the health and education sectors, humanitarian demining, and other social and humanitarian projects. The Qatari prime minister also expressed readiness to mediate in repatriating Ukrainian children taken to Russia since the conflict began.
