"Russia Imposes Travel Ban on Ships Bound for Ukraine"

Russia has warned that any ships traveling to Ukraine's Black Sea ports from Thursday will be considered potentially carrying military cargoes, after Ukraine announced plans to establish a temporary shipping route to continue its grain exports. This comes after Russia recently quit a UN-brokered deal that allowed safe Black Sea export of Ukrainian grain. Ukraine has expressed its intention to maintain its grain shipments and informed the International Maritime Organization (IMO) of its temporary maritime route. Russia's Defense Ministry stated that it would view all ships heading to Ukraine as potentially carrying military cargo, and the flag countries of such ships would be considered parties to the Ukrainian conflict. Insurers are already reviewing their coverage for ships going to Ukraine, and Ukraine has accused Russia of damaging grain export infrastructure in overnight strikes.
