Sweden Contemplates Fighter Jet Deployment to Ukraine, According to SR Radio

The Swedish government is reportedly considering donating Gripen fighter jets to Ukraine to assist in its conflict with Russia. The government is seeking to understand the impact on Sweden's defense capabilities and the timeline for acquiring new Gripen fighters. The Netherlands and Denmark have already been leading efforts to supply Ukraine with U.S.-made F-16 fighter jets. Ukraine is hoping to receive a division of Gripen jets, and Sweden has previously offered Ukrainian pilots the opportunity to test the Gripen. The opposition leader has suggested that Sweden should send Gripens to Ukraine once it becomes a member of NATO.
