Taiwan Asserts Independence, Rejects Elon Musk's Claims

Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has criticized Elon Musk for referring to Taiwan as "an integral part of China," asserting that Taiwan is "not for sale" and is not part of China. Musk made the comment during the All-In Summit in Los Angeles. Taiwan has been governed independently since 1949, but China considers it a part of its territory. Taiwan's Foreign Minister Joseph Wu also urged Musk to ask the Chinese Communist Party to allow access to Twitter, which is currently banned in China. This is not the first time Musk has faced backlash from Taiwan for his comments on the issue.
