Taiwan Slams Elon Musk's Controversial Remark on China's Sovereignty

The ministry pointed out the flaws in Musk's comparison of Taiwan's relationship to China with Hawaii's relationship to the US, emphasizing that Taiwan has long asserted its own statehood. They also teased Musk over China's ban on Twitter and referenced his reported suspension of Starlink satellite service to Ukraine during Russia's invasion. This is not the first time Musk has sparked controversy with his comments about Taiwan, as he previously suggested a special administrative zone for the island. Taiwanese officials reiterated that Taiwan's freedom and democracy are not for sale.
