Tensions Escalate as Chinese and Philippine Ships Clash in South China Sea

Chinese and Philippine ships have engaged in another confrontation near a grounded warship in the South China Sea. The Philippines was on a resupply mission to the warship when Chinese coastguard ships used water cannon on a Philippine vessel. China claims sovereignty over the atoll, while the Philippines condemns the "illegal" actions of the Chinese vessels.
