Ukraine-Poland Diplomatic Tensions Rise Over Controversial Remarks

Ukraine has summoned the Polish ambassador to Kyiv after a foreign policy adviser to Poland's president made comments suggesting that Ukraine should show more appreciation for Poland's support in its war with Russia. The adviser also referenced a ban on imports of Ukrainian commodities by Poland, which is set to expire next month. The Ukrainian foreign ministry called the statements "untrue and unacceptable" and emphasized the importance of the deep friendship between the two countries. The ban on grain imports by Poland and four other Central European states has caused logistical bottlenecks and affected prices and sales for Ukrainian farmers.
