"US and UK Impose Sanctions on Houthi Military Leaders"

The United States and the United Kingdom have imposed sanctions on four military officials of the Houthi group, also known as Ansarallah, for their support of recent attacks on vessels in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. This action is part of the effort to hold the Houthis accountable for their disruptive and illegal attacks on international supply chains and navigational rights. The U.S. Department of State had previously designated Ansarallah as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist, effective February 16, 2024.
