US Requested Ukraine to Halt Anniversary Attacks on Russia

Classified documents allegedly leaked by a member of the National Guard reveal that the United States requested Ukraine to postpone attacks on Russia ahead of the first anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2015. The documents show that Ukraine's military intelligence directorate, the HUR, had planned to launch mass strikes on Moscow, including a sea-based strike using TNT in the Black Sea port city of Novorossiysk. The United States was concerned that such attacks could provoke an aggressive response from Russia and escalate the conflict into a direct fight between U.S. and Russian forces.
