Ukraine damages bridge linking Crimea to mainland, disrupting Russian supply route.

Ukraine has attacked the Chonhar bridge, which links southern Ukraine to the Crimean peninsula, with long-range British missiles, according to Russian officials. The bridge is an important link to the occupied city of Melitopol and is used by Russia as a land bridge to Crimea. Ukrainian military spokeswoman Natalia Humeniuk said the army was aiming to disrupt Russia's supply routes and a military intelligence official said more attacks would follow. Russian forces seized the Crimean peninsula from Ukraine in 2014 and then invaded Ukraine's southern coastal region in February last year.
