US Acknowledges Rare Challenge to Putin's Leadership

The US State Department has said that the situation in Russia remains dynamic after an aborted mutiny and that it does not have any assessment about the whereabouts of Yevgeny Prigozhin, the boss of Russia's Wagner mercenary group. The department also said that it is a new thing to see President Putin's leadership directly challenged and that the events over the weekend reinforce Washington's concerns about the instability Wagner brings when it enters any country.
