Navy Global Deployment Map: Carriers and Amphibious Groups Spread Across Eight Theaters

USNI News’ Fleet and Marine Tracker for June 1, 2026 shows the U.S. Navy’s carrier strike groups and amphibious ready groups dispersed worldwide, with roughly 292 ships deployed (233 USN, 59 USNS) and about 103 underway. Notable movements include USS George Washington leaving Yokosuka; the Boxer ARG transiting the Andaman Sea; USS Nimitz heading to Kingston, Jamaica for Southern Seas 2026; and the Abraham Lincoln CSG operating in the Arabian Sea in support of Epic Fury. The 22nd MEU is returning from a long deployment while the 24th MEU will replace it as the crisis‑response force; destroyers and other ships are deployed across the Red Sea, Mediterranean, Indian Ocean, and Western Hemisphere, with mine-countermeasures ships active in the Indian Ocean.
