Mount Etna's eruption disrupts air travel to Catania airport.

Flights to and from Catania airport in Sicily were suspended due to volcanic ash from nearby Mount Etna covering the runways. The airport stated that flights would resume once safety conditions were met. The last major eruption of the 3,330 metre high volcano was in 1992.
