Canada Day Tornado Strikes Central Alberta, Causing Injuries and Damage

A supercell thunderstorm in central Canada produced at least one large tornado, causing injuries and damage along its path. The tornado was captured on video, showing a large wedge formation ripping up debris and dirt. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police are aware of the emergency situation but do not yet know the extent of the injuries and damage. Tornadoes are not uncommon in Canada, with the country experiencing more tornadoes than any other except for the U.S.
