Deadly Storm Claims Lives in Balkans: Death Toll Rises to 6

Three people died in Serbia as a second deadly storm swept through the Balkans, causing power outages, extensive damage, and fallen trees. The storms, which followed a string of extremely hot days, have been attributed to climate change. In Novi Sad, a 12-year-old was found dead during the storm, while a woman in Kovacica died from smoke inhalation after lightning struck a tree near her house. In Croatia, the storm added to the damage caused by a previous storm, with injuries reported in a tourist campsite. Slovenia also experienced significant forest damage and warned of potential flash floods.
