"Evacuations and Tsunami Alert as Indonesia's Mount Ruang Erupts"
TL;DR
Indonesia's Ruang volcano, located in North Sulawesi province, has erupted multiple times since Tuesday, emitting lava and ash clouds into the sky and prompting the evacuation of hundreds of residents. The eruption displaced 828 people from nearby villages, and the alert level has been raised to Orange due to increased activity triggered by recent earthquakes. Indonesia, known for straddling the "Pacific Ring of Fire," faces a high risk of natural disasters due to its location in this geologically active region.
