Biden opposes fast-tracked NATO admission for Ukraine.

President Joe Biden said the US does not support a fast-tracked process for Ukraine to join NATO, stating that Ukraine would need to meet certain criteria for NATO membership, including concerns about corruption in the country. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wants NATO member nations to commit to accepting Ukraine into the alliance when there is a resolution to the current conflict. NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said members agree that Ukraine will eventually be invited to become a member but consultations are still taking place.
