Burkina Faso suspends France 24 over al-Qaeda interview.

Burkina Faso's military government has suspended France 24 broadcasts after the TV station aired an interview with the head of al-Qaeda's North African wing. The move comes amid deteriorating relations between Paris and Ouagadougou since the Burkinabe military seized power in a coup in October. France 24 denied the accusations, saying it only reported what the interviewee said through a studio conversation with one of its journalists. This is not the first time Burkina Faso has suspended broadcasts of French media, with Radio France International being suspended in December 2022.
