Canada has pledged fresh military support for Ukraine and imposed new sanctions on Russia over its invasion in Ukraine. The Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, met with his Ukrainian counterpart, Denys Shmyhal, in Toronto, where they discussed further military support and reconstruction efforts in Ukraine. Canada will send 21,000 assault rifles, 38 machine guns, and 2.4 million rounds of ammunition, while the new sanctions will target 14 Russian individuals and 34 entities. The Canadian spy service acknowledged that some government pages had been offline, including Trudeau's official website, which was shut down by Russian hackers.
