China and Germany discuss Ukraine war and climate cooperation.

Germany's Chancellor Olaf Scholz urged China to use its influence to end the war in Ukraine during high-level government consultations with Chinese Premier Li Qiang in Berlin. The two countries also pledged to work together to combat climate change, with Germany and China agreeing to set up a "climate and transformation dialogue" to achieve practical results in green and low-carbon development. Despite Germany's wariness over Beijing's growing assertiveness and refusal to criticize Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the country is keen to maintain good ties with China, its biggest trading partner.
