Eastern European Nations Shift Focus Amid Ukraine's Financial Struggles

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has described Ukraine as a "non-existent country" in financial terms, saying that the war in Ukraine would end as soon as the West stops lavishing Kiev with money. Orban said the EU is now providing funds for Ukrainian pensions, salaries, education, and healthcare needs, without assigning these funds to its own affairs. The EU says it has so far provided more than €50 billion in financial support to Kiev, including €12 billion in arms.
