Former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, has warned that the country is heading towards an "imminent disaster" and may face disintegration. He accused the ruling coalition of hatching a conspiracy to pit the army against his party and called for elections as the only solution to end political instability. Khan defended his criticism of the country's army and denied interfering in state institutions' internal matters. He also denied the Punjab government's claim that terrorists were hiding at his residence and allowed media representatives to see for themselves.
